Compare the jacket you will receive, not the model word

Leave room for the layer you actually wear

Try on a jacket over your usual sweater and check that it closes comfortably. Take the jacket off, fasten it and lay it flat. Measure straight across the closed chest below the armholes, from the back-neck seam to the hem, and along the sleeve from a clearly stated shoulder or neck point. Compare those same points with the seller’s chart for your chosen listing. If the seller starts sleeve length at the neck and you start at a shoulder seam, ask for a like-for-like measure before choosing a size. For a hood, check whether it covers the collar of your sweater without hiding the jacket’s closure.

Check what a bag or boot must fit

For a bag, confirm the usable opening and interior dimensions. For boots, compare the seller’s sizing guidance with your intended socks and request an insole measurement if needed.

Which jacket measurements matter over a sweater?

Does a “Nuptse” or “down” title tell me the filling?

No. Use the title to find a design, then ask the seller for the fill and shell specifications of the exact option. QC photos can show visible panels and stitching; they cannot establish fill content, warmth or weather protection.

How can I check whether a laptop fits a backpack?

Measure the laptop including any sleeve you use. Ask for the bag’s internal opening and compartment width and height, plus an open-compartment photo. A listed exterior height or a closed front view does not show the usable space.

How should I check the black boots for size?

Start with the seller’s chart for the exact pair and compare it with footwear you wear with similar socks.
