The light distressed Purple Brand jeans have scattered worn areas in the front and back images; the N69 blue jeans show a darker wash and curved rear-pocket stitching. Look at the whole leg, not only a folded pocket shot. If you want the opening to sit over a particular shoe, compare the hem width and inseam with jeans that already do so. A style name such as “boot cut” does not replace those measurements.

1. Measure a pair you already wear. Fasten jeans or trousers, lay the waistband flat and measure across its top. Note whether you measured the waist relaxed or pulled; keep that condition the same when comparing an elastic pair. A flat width doubled estimates the garment's waist circumference, not your body waist.
2. Check rise and leg length separately. Measure the front rise from the crotch seam to the waistband top, then the inseam from crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem. Measure the leg opening flat across the hem if a narrow, straight or wider finish affects your choice.
3. For shorts, add the outer length. Measure from the waistband top down the outside seam to the hem, and keep it distinct from the shorter inseam. Compare both with shorts whose hem already lands where you want. Ask for pocket depth if you need to carry a phone or other item securely.
