Start with how the layer opens and sits at the neck

A pullover with a hood, a plain crewneck and a buttoned knit need different checks. Select the form first, then filter the full results by brand, color and reference price.

Type of layerWhat to compare
Pullover hoodies Look at the hood, front pocket or graphic, then decide whether the neckline and hem give you the shape you want.
Zip-up hoodies and sweatshirts Check the full zipper path, collar or hood, and the front with the zip closed. Compare the length over the layer you plan to wear underneath.
Crewneck sweatshirts Compare the neckline, chest graphic, sleeve cuffs and hem. A crewneck gives a different look from a hooded top even at the same size label.
Sweaters and cardigans Choose a high neck, crewneck, V neck or button front. Compare knit texture, opening, and flat measurements without stretching the garment.

Make a shortlist by opening, graphic and knit shape

A pullover graphic or a zip you can open?

The full-zip hoodie opens at the front; the washed-dark pullover above has a back graphic. Compare both sides and the closed chest width before choosing how to layer either style.

A crewneck removes the hood from the outline. The blue Corteiz crewneck puts a white graphic across its front; the red Alo crewneck has a smaller chest mark in its main image. Compare which graphic you want visible under an outer layer and inspect the neck band and cuffs on the option you choose.

A closed sweater, high neck or button front?

Compare the neck opening, front fastening and cuff shape. For layering, use measurements from a sweater you already wear over the same base layer.

Check composition, inside surface and care separately

A cotton percentage, a fluffy inside and a heavy garment answer different questions. Neither pure cotton nor a thicker fabric automatically means better workmanship.

  1. Composition and care. Ask for readable fiber percentages and care instructions for the exact option, including separate lining information where applicable. A size or brand label alone cannot confirm the material.
  2. Inside surface. Request a close-up inside the body and hood. Compare visible loops, a brushed surface or a separate lining with the seller’s description; an outside photo cannot settle which construction you will receive.
  3. Fabric weight. If GSM matters, ask for the seller’s fabric specification in grams per square metre. A warehouse weight includes the whole garment and possibly packaging; it is not a GSM measurement or a warmth test.

For sweaters, ask for the declared yarn composition and washing instructions. A close-up can reveal visible loops or a pulled yarn, but cannot establish wool content, softness, pilling resistance or shrinkage.

Compare the amount of room you need beneath it

  1. Choose your reference layer. Use a hoodie you like for a hoodie, and a knit you like for a knit. Lay it flat as you normally wear it; close zips and buttons before measuring the body.
  2. Compare named points. Ask for underarm-to-underarm chest width, shoulder width, back length from the collar base to hem, and sleeve length from shoulder seam to cuff for the exact size. Measure your reference at the same points. Do not pull a ribbed knit taut to make it match a number.
  3. Account for the layer underneath. If you want a shirt beneath a cardigan or a hoodie beneath a jacket, compare your reference garment worn that way. A similar chest number on a snug knit and a roomy sweatshirt does not make their fit or drape interchangeable.

Dropped shoulders and raglan sleeves need clear endpoints. A sleeve measured from a dropped shoulder seam cannot be compared directly with a neck-to-cuff measurement. Ask where the tape starts, and measure your reference in the same way; keep any ribbed cuffs relaxed.

Compare prices only after matching the layer: check pullover versus zip, graphic or color code, size, and what the selected option includes. Then allow for warehouse delivery, international shipping and optional services in the total cost.

For diagrams of chest, shoulder and sleeve endpoints, use the flat clothing measurement tutorial. It also distinguishes front length from back length, so you can repeat whichever method the seller uses.

A CLOSER LOOK BEFORE YOU SHIP

Check the details before ordering

Use these earlier-order QC references to plan your checks. Confirm the selected option and inspect your own order before shipping.

01Check the hoodie from the front and back

Check it in a QC photo

MaisonLooks CDN · Shared listing reference; exact style match unverified.

Recorded QC: · kakobuy

The front view shows a dark zip hoodie with a red heart, two front pockets and ribbed cuffs and hem. Follow the closed zipper, compare the pocket openings, then use the back view to check the hood, rear panel and hem.

This shared listing reference records 2XL and shows a dark garment, while the linked option is white. Use it to learn the checks, not to confirm that option. The ruler beside the garment is not a reliable substitute for a requested flat chest or sleeve measurement.

For your hoodie: match the ordered color and size first, then request flat measurements, clear zipper-end photos and an opening-and-closing check.

For a zip-up, also ask for the entire front with the zip closed and a close view of its start and finish. For a cardigan, request the button line closed and open, plus a view of the reverse if loose threads or the inner finish matter to you. Historical photos without a flat ruler measurement cannot settle chest width or sleeve length.

Browse hoodies and knitwear with QC photos, checking each photograph's color, size and date. If your own garment has a different neckline, graphic or size label from the option you paid for, identify the mismatch and contact Kakobuy before arranging shipment.

Before shipping: request the view that answers your question

  1. Hood and neckline. Ask for the hood opened out and the neckline flat. Check visible joins and compare the intended opening; a folded hood hides its shape and inside finish.
  2. Cuffs, hem and knit joins. Request both cuffs, the lower edge and close-ups of any suspected hole, pulled loop or opening seam. Ask for the area laid flat without stretching before judging asymmetry.
  3. Print, embroidery and fastening. Compare front and back artwork with the selected option. Ask for close-ups where a pocket, zip or fold covers the design. Request a short opening-and-closing video if zipper operation is uncertain.

Record the selected style, color and size, then explain any mismatch before arranging shipment. Historical QC is a reference; your own order needs its own checks.

Hoodie and knitwear shopping questions

Are hoodies, sweatshirts and sweaters all in this collection?

Yes. Use Hoodies & Sweatshirts for hooded, zipped and crewneck styles, or Sweaters & Knits for sweaters and cardigans. Compare each top’s neckline and opening to choose between a pullover, full zip or button front.

Can a QC photo tell me if a hoodie is warm or will shrink?

No. It can show visible seams, graphics and the photographed option. Ask for the seller's fiber and care information if those affect your choice; the older photos and a size label do not test warmth, washing or long-term wear.

What should I request if the zipper or buttons are hard to see?

For a zip-up, request the full closed front and a close-up of the zipper start and top. For a cardigan, request the front buttoned and a closer image of the button line. Name the area that is unclear so your own order photo can answer it.

What if a shared listing's QC shows a different neckline or graphic?

Use that set only to understand what the other option looked like. Match the hood, zip or collar and the front and back artwork to the option you want. If they differ, do not use those photos as proof of your design; check your own order's warehouse views before shipment.

Where do I choose a size and order?

Open the product and choose “Buy on Kakobuy.” Confirm its current design, size option, price and availability there. The buying guide explains the platform steps; international shipping is separate from the item reference price.
